Financial and Business Audit Specialist

About the role

Evertec is seeking a Financial and Business Audit Specialist to join its internal audit team. You will be responsible for evaluating financial and operational processes, ensuring compliance with internal standards, and supporting the organization’s risk management framework.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial and operational audits in line with the Internal Audit Manual, performing designated audit tests and documenting observations.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal processes, risk management, and governance frameworks, providing actionable recommendations.
• Prepare periodic audit reports that detail findings, results, and recommendations, and communicate them clearly to the Internal Audit Lead.
• Follow up on audit recommendations, verify corrective actions, and promote accountability across management levels.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and support external auditors by facilitating access to key information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in internal audit, Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance, and internal controls.
• CPA in good standing; CIA and/or CFE certifications are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards, risk‑management concepts, and control models.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate audit findings in English.
