Full-Stack Engineer (React + Ruby on Rails) - Remote

About the role

BairesDev is hiring a Full-Stack Engineer (React + Ruby on Rails) for a product engineering team working on a large-scale platform. The team collaborates across disciplines rather than on one side of the stack, and the engineer brings sound engineering judgment to a system that keeps growing and helps shape how it scales.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain full-stack features using React and Ruby on Rails
• Design APIs with an API-first approach, using GraphQL and REST
• Contribute to the architecture of distributed, microservices-based systems
• Optimize system and database performance
• Collaborate with product, design and engineering teammates

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building full-stack applications with React and Ruby on Rails
• Background developing large-scale systems
• Advanced level of English

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Familiarity with API design, including GraphQL and RESTful services
