Head of Collections – Medellín, Colombia

About the role

We are looking for a senior professional to build and lead the Collections function for our fintech operations in Colombia. The role will be based in Medellín and will report directly to senior management, shaping the strategy and execution of debt recovery across consumer lending products.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and manage a high‑performing Collections team in Colombia.
• Define and implement the overall collections strategy, including KPI design and performance tracking.
• Monitor the overdue portfolio, analyse DPD, roll‑rate and recovery metrics, and optimise recovery performance.
• Collaborate with IT to develop automation tools and reporting dashboards.
• Manage external vendors and ensure all collection activities comply with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in consumer lending or PDL collections and debt recovery.
• Demonstrated leadership of collections teams.
• Strong understanding of DPD, roll rates and recovery metrics.
• Experience across soft, hard and legal collection processes.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on KPI‑driven results.
• Advanced English (spoken and written).
