Head of Finance – Strategic Leader for Multi-Entity Sports Organization

About the role

We are a fast‑growing youth sports organization operating across the US and Canada. We are looking for a strategic Head of Finance to lead all financial functions of our multi‑entity, seasonal business and to act as a key member of the executive team.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop long‑term strategic plans, including growth initiatives, acquisitions and operational scaling.
• Translate business plans into integrated financial models, budgets, forecasts and KPIs for multi‑location operations.
• Lead enterprise‑level financial modeling, scenario analysis and ROI evaluation for new facilities, program pricing, marketing spend and staffing decisions.
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting across all entities and ensure compliance.
• Implement cost‑management and margin‑improvement initiatives and develop dashboards linking operational KPIs to financial outcomes.
• Secure and manage financing for growth projects, oversee treasury functions, cash‑flow forecasting, working‑capital optimization, debt restructuring and FX strategy.
• Build, lead and mentor a high‑performing finance team and serve as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders.
• Design and implement scalable financial systems and processes, leveraging automation to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Required profile

• 5‑10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience in senior roles such as Head of Finance, VP Finance or Controller.
• Experience in multi‑location, multi‑entity or seasonal businesses (sports, fitness, hospitality, franchise or retail).
• Proven track record partnering with CEOs on strategic planning, growth initiatives and operational scaling.
• Demonstrated experience leading M&A activity, due diligence or post‑acquisition integration.
• Experience securing financing and managing treasury functions.
