Head of People

About the role

The Head of People will be the primary people partner for a small, fast‑growing, fully remote coaching and consulting business. Reporting to the COO, you will own the people function end‑to‑end, from hiring and onboarding to culture and leadership development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the hiring pipeline, conduct initial screenings, coordinate interviews, and lead salary negotiations and full‑cycle onboarding.
• Oversee a mixed workforce of employees and contractors across the US and internationally, researching tax and legal requirements for new locations.
• Lead leadership and professional development initiatives, capacity planning, and performance management across the organization.
• Mediate conflicts, provide coaching support, and identify gaps to launch new people initiatives.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in HR or People Operations, with strong verbal and written English (C1 level).
• Hands‑on experience with US‑based companies, compensation negotiation, full‑cycle onboarding, and employee vs. contractor classification.
• Proven ability to build people processes such as performance reviews, onboarding programs, and learning initiatives.

Required skills

• Experience with Gusto.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with Asana and Airtable.

• Competitive monthly compensation of $4,000‑$4,500 USD.
