HR Specialist – U.S. Operations (Hybrid – Medellín)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR Specialist in Colombia to support a U.S.-based client and their workforce. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with U.S. HR processes, advanced English communication skills, and the ability to work independently while interacting confidently with employees, managers, and the client.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day HR matters for the client’s U.S. workforce.
• Respond to employee and manager inquiries, document cases, and follow through to resolution.
• Coordinate with the client and internal teams on employee relations, attendance, leaves of absence, and other HR issues.
• Manage workers’ compensation injury intake, documentation, and claim follow‑up through resolution.
• Identify potential issues early, recommend practical next steps, and escalate sensitive matters when appropriate.
• Provide coverage one weekend per month as part of the client’s rotation.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting employees or clients in the United States.
• Knowledge of California HR practices preferred; experience with other U.S. states also considered.
• Advanced English (C1 or equivalent) with strong written, verbal, presentation, and client‑facing communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, take initiative, and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong judgment, discretion, organization, and attention to detail.
