Independent Content Writer / Content Specialist - U.S. Market

About the role

Callnovo is looking for a detail-oriented, culturally aware independent content writer / content specialist to create content for U.S.-market audiences. The role is remote, working full-time Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time (equivalent to 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM BRT in Brazil and 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM COT in Colombia). You will independently research, organize, write, publish and distribute content based on topics provided by clients.

Key responsibilities

• Independently collect, organize and write content based on client-provided topics.
• Use ChatGPT, search engines and online resources to gather information, keeping content objective, accurate and authentic.
• Create content that fits U.S. local culture, social context and reader preferences, and is relatable and easy to understand.
• Manage publishing and distribution to grow readership, engagement and shares.
• Communicate with clients to clarify direction, adjust messaging and improve effectiveness.
• Deliver manuscripts on schedule while keeping quality and consistency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above.
• Strong English writing ability, producing clear, engaging and reader-friendly content.
• Quickly understands and presents topics across multiple domains.
• Familiarity with U.S. culture, social trends and reader psychology.
• Detail-oriented, responsible and able to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work remotely.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ChatGPT and mainstream search engines for research and content synthesis.
• Preferred: journalism, communication or public relations degree; prior magazine or newspaper writing; experience writing for U.S. audiences and managing content publishing and distribution.
