Infrastructure Engineer – Cloud & On-Prem Security Remediation

About the role

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join a dedicated engineering POD delivering a funded security‑remediation program for a leading US healthcare payments and revenue‑cycle software company. The role focuses on applying remediation patterns across AWS and on‑premises environments, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and supporting release cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Apply infrastructure remediation patterns (IAM, network segmentation, encryption, configuration hardening) across AWS accounts and on‑premises servers.
• Implement changes at scale using Infrastructure‑as‑Code modules (Terraform or CloudFormation) defined by the senior SRE.
• Maintain patch currency, remediate configuration drift, and verify deployments, rolling back when necessary.
• Document remediation evidence for audit and compliance reviews.
• Track findings, report status, and escalate non‑standard issues to senior SRE and Lead Engineer.

Required profile

• 35+ years of hands‑on infrastructure, cloud, or systems engineering experience.
• Strong AWS knowledge (IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, KMS) and experience with on‑premises Linux/Windows environments.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation) and scripting (Python, Bash or PowerShell).
• Experience in security remediation, patch management, and working in regulated environments handling PHI or payment data.
