Integrated Logistics Team Lead

About the role

Kuehne+Nagel is looking for an Integrated Logistics Team Lead within its Freight Forwarding team. You will coordinate the day-to-day activities of the operational team so that customer orders and shipments are handled according to account requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You will also be the main point of contact for operational escalations and work with internal and external stakeholders to improve operational quality, productivity and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the daily activities of Operations Specialists, balancing workload and prioritizing tasks
• Coach and support team members and ensure SOPs, WIs, customer requirements and SLAs are followed
• Plan and oversee multimodal shipments across Air, Sea and Road, with follow-up and shipment visibility
• Monitor performance against KPIs, service levels, quality standards and customer expectations
• Act as the first escalation point for complex issues, shipment exceptions, complaints and service disruptions
• Work with Operations, IT, Procurement, Quality, carriers and regional/global teams to resolve issues
• Take part in customer meetings, service reviews, audits and operational discussions
• Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Identify improvements to productivity, efficiency and process standardization, and share best practices
• Support quality requirements and customer-specific programs, including GxP where applicable

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Foreign Trade or a related field
• At least 5 years of professional experience in logistics, freight forwarding, transportation or supply chain operations
• Proven experience in at least one transportation mode (Air, Sea or Road); multimodal experience highly desirable
• Experience in operational planning and customer service in a logistics environment
• Previous experience coordinating, mentoring or leading operational teams is desirable
• Advanced English skills
