iOS Developer Specialist

About the role

ScotiaTech, Scotiabank's technology hub in Bogota, Colombia, is looking for an iOS Developer Specialist. The role ensures the development of robust, scalable iOS applications aligned with business objectives, contributing to technological innovation and the continuous improvement of the user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop native iOS applications using Swift.
• Define and maintain scalable architectures using patterns such as MVVM and SOLID principles.
• Implement secure development practices, including data protection, secure credential management and vulnerability prevention.
• Take part in technical risk assessments and propose mitigation solutions.
• Analyze and remediate vulnerabilities found in static and dynamic security scans and penetration tests, ensuring compliance with security standards.
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, automated testing and development best practices.
• Optimize application performance, security and user experience.
• Integrate applications securely and efficiently with APIs and backend services.
• Take part in Scrum ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).
• Collaborate with UX/UI, QA and Product teams so deliverables match requirements.

Required profile

• Specific experience in the banking industry, preferably at least two years in similar positions.
• Advancing English skills (B2 level).
• Standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are common.

Required skills

• Swift and Objective-C (2-3 years of experience)
• English level B2
