IT Director - Latin America

About the role

Crawford & Company, a global provider of claims management and TPA solutions for insurers, brokers and corporations, is looking for an IT Director for its Latin America operation. The role directs IT development, infrastructure installation and maintenance, security, troubleshooting, policy and procedure direction and administration, and leads IT goals in line with company policy. It reports to the International Chief Information Officer and has a matrixed reporting line to the President of Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Lead IT teams across six Latin American countries and develop and execute the regional technology strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead cybersecurity governance, compliance with corporate standards and regulations, and conduct IT audits with recommendations.
• Identify and implement emerging technologies such as AI and automation, and plan and launch new IT products and services.
• Own the regional cloud infrastructure strategy, disaster recovery architecture, corporate data network, servers, workstation fleet and storage.
• Own the annual IT operating and capital budgets, corporate asset management, and capital expenditure plans and forecasts.
• Build and develop a high-performing regional technology organization, including hiring, performance reviews, compensation, training and development.
• Negotiate with vendors, issue RFPs/RFQs, establish preferred vendors and manage vendor relationships.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in medium-to-large IT projects and teams in IT business partner development and/or infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, engineering or a related field; master's degree preferred.
• Some travel will be required.

Required skills

• Preferred certifications: ITIL, CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, PMP.
