Journalist – Americas Financial Markets

About the role

Citywire Americas is seeking an ambitious journalist to join its editorial team covering the dynamic US Offshore and Latin American wealth management markets. The role is primarily remote but requires regular travel across the region to meet sources and attend events.

Key responsibilities

• Produce breaking news, interviews and feature stories for professional investors.
• Publish accurate, timely digital content and curate the daily newsletter.
• Conduct interviews with fund managers, CIOs, selectors and senior industry leaders.
• Build and maintain strong source networks across asset management, private banking and wealth management.
• Collaborate with global editorial and video teams to create multimedia content.
• Attend industry events and conferences, providing on‑the‑ground coverage.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and Spanish (near‑native); Portuguese a plus.
• Proven journalism experience covering finance, markets or investments with a track record of breaking stories.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, asset management and private banking.
• Excellent writing, editing and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Confident networker capable of building relationships with senior professionals.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital publishing tools.
• Experience in multimedia or video production (bonus).
