Journalist – Americas Markets

About the role

Citywire Americas seeks an ambitious journalist to cover the dynamic US Offshore and Latin American wealth management markets. The role is primarily remote, with regular travel to meet industry sources and attend events across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Produce breaking news, interviews and feature stories for professional investors.
• Publish accurate, timely digital content and curate the daily newsletter.
• Conduct interviews with fund managers, CIOs, selectors and senior industry leaders.
• Build and maintain strong source networks across asset management, private banking and wealth management.
• Collaborate with global editorial and video teams to create multimedia content.
• Attend industry events and provide on‑the‑ground coverage, including moderating panels.

Required profile

• Fluent English and Spanish (near‑native); Portuguese a plus.
• Proven journalism experience covering finance, markets or investments with a track record of breaking stories.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, asset management and private banking.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, able to meet tight deadlines.
• Confident in building relationships with senior professionals and developing trusted sources.
