Junior Accountant – Tax & Reporting Focus

About the role

Stemwell Regenerative Medicine is looking for a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to join its finance team in Bogotá. The role focuses on tax compliance, financial reporting, and accounting management for a fast‑growing biotech company.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit national and municipal tax returns (VAT/IVA, withholding tax, ICA, income tax) in compliance with DIAN and local regulations.
• Draft monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for executive leadership and regulatory bodies (DIAN, Supersalud, Superintendencia de Sociedades).
• Produce bilingual accounting reports and summaries in Spanish and English for regional and international stakeholders.
• Maintain the general ledger and daily transactions using SIIGO or similar ERP software.
• Support the creation and monitoring of financial dashboards and key health‑sector metrics.
• Assist internal and external auditors, ensuring proper documentation and statutory compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Contaduría Pública) with a professional license.
• 1–2 years of experience handling Colombian tax obligations and preparing financial reports.
• Strong knowledge of Colombian NIIF/IFRS standards and DIAN tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (preferably SIIGO) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• English level B1 minimum (B2 preferred) with ability to draft financial documentation in English.
