Junior Civil Engineer – Remote (Colombia)

About the role

Moment Engineering is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer to join its U.S. project teams remotely from Colombia. You will create design calculations, drawings, and supporting reports for civil and site‑development projects while collaborating closely with licensed engineers in California.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare civil site, grading, and drainage designs and calculations.
• Produce and revise construction drawings and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Perform hydrology and hydraulic calculations, including Rational Method and storm‑drain sizing.
• Support the preparation of engineering reports and plan‑check responses.
• Coordinate with U.S. project managers and incorporate review comments.
• Maintain organized, QC‑ready project files.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Current Colombian professional registration (matrícula profesional / Tarjeta Profesional) in good standing.
• 3–6+ years of civil/site‑development design experience.
• Strong written and spoken English for collaboration with a U.S. team.
• Reliable high‑speed internet and a suitable home‑office setup.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with Hydraflow and HEC‑RAS.
• Solid grounding in grading, drainage, and stormwater design fundamentals.
