Junior Commercial Submanager – Law Graduate

About the role

Marsh McLennan is looking for a recent law graduate to join its Risk Management team in Bogotá as a Junior Commercial Submanager. The role combines client‑facing commercial activities with insurance placement and offers a structured development programme with a mentor and a buddy.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate insurance terms and conditions for clients in finance lines.
• Analyse client risks and support senior colleagues in designing strategic insurance solutions.
• Conduct market research, prepare commercial presentations and tailor business proposals for prospects.
• Collaborate with internal teams during tender processes, renewals and placement activities.
• Manage placements and negotiations with insurers and commercial segments.
• Prepare deliverables for business segments and draft proposal components.
• Identify and implement process improvements to win new business.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (graduated within the last 4 years) or a related field.
• Internship or up to 4 years of experience, preferably in insurance brokerage or underwriting of financial lines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Fluency in English.
