Manager, Data Scientist

About the role

The Manager, Data Scientist will support Mastercard’s Strategy, Pricing & Interchange team by shaping regulatory engagement strategies across Latin America and the Caribbean. Reporting to the Vice President, this role combines deep data analysis with strategic narrative development to influence pricing and interchange policies.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with country, pricing, legal, public policy and external consultants to engage regulators on pricing and interchange matters.
• Develop and execute LAC regulatory engagement strategies and external customer narratives backed by extensive data analysis.
• Provide analytical insights to support decision‑making on pricing, interchange, and network growth.
• Lead large‑scale projects and work streams that assess performance, risks, and opportunities for the business model.
• Create executive‑level presentations, research insights, and thought‑leadership content for global and regional leaders.
• Formulate Mastercard’s position and narrative for external engagements with customers, regulators, and policy makers.

Required profile

• Highly motivated, analytical individual with experience implementing corporate strategic initiatives or business plans.
• Proven ability to evaluate complex data sets and translate findings into actionable strategic recommendations.
• Strong facilitation and influencing skills to drive cross‑functional collaboration.
• Experience in regulatory or pricing environments within the payments or financial services sector is preferred.
