Manager of Email Security Engineering

About the role

Auxis is expanding its cyber defense capabilities and is looking for a Manager of Email Security Engineering to take complete ownership of its messaging security strategy. The role goes beyond maintaining gateways: it involves leading a distributed engineering team, architecting a resilient cloud email protection stack and driving measurable reductions in successful attacks. The position is based in Bogotá, Colombia, on a hybrid basis at the Connecta 26 corporate hub.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and mentor a team of specialized email security engineers.
• Drive the authentication program (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) to full enforcement across a complex estate without disrupting legitimate business mail.
• Mastermind secure email gateways and cloud-native controls (Proofpoint, Mimecast or Microsoft Defender for O365).
• Partner with SOC and awareness teams to turn phishing responses, user reporting workflows and sandboxing into automated remediation.

Required profile

• 8+ years in messaging or security engineering, with at least 2+ years of direct people leadership.
• Deep expertise in Exchange Online mail flow and advanced threat tradecraft.
• Advanced English (B2+ or higher) for global stakeholder collaboration.
• Certifications such as CISSP, GCIA or vendor-specific credentials are a big plus.
