Marketing Assistant - Social Media & Content Support

About the role

A U.S.-based law firm, which focuses on digital marketing and social media, is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Social Media & Marketing Assistant. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager to keep social media activities running smoothly, including scheduling and publishing content, editing short-form videos, writing captions and managing content calendars and deadlines. The position is open to candidates residing in Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and publish posts on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn, checking captions, format and links after publication.
• Keep the content calendar and shared task board up to date, track deadlines and flag potential delays early.
• Rout legal questions and potential client inquiries received through comments and messages to the right team members, without answering them directly.
• Edit short-form video clips for Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, including captions, and write captions, short email copy and simple scripts.
• Create quick graphics in Canva using established brand templates, and use AI tools to streamline captioning, resizing and content repurposing.
• Submit content involving legal matters for attorney review, organize raw footage and assets in shared folders, and assist with ad creative and basic Meta and Google Ads tasks.

Required profile

• Hands-on experience publishing and scheduling social media content for a brand, business or agency.
• Strong written and spoken English for captions, emails and scripts.
• Comfort using AI tools in day-to-day content workflows.
• Strong organizational skills and availability during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
• Preferred: basic familiarity with Meta Ads or Google Ads, and experience supporting a law firm or professional services brand.

Required skills

• Basic short-form video editing, including adding captions.
• Canva proficiency for quick graphics.
