Medical Advisor – Hematology

About the role

Amgen is seeking a Medical Advisor specialized in Hematology to join its Bogotá team. You will help shape the medical strategy for hematology products, ensuring scientific rigor and alignment with regulatory standards while supporting patients with serious illnesses.

Key responsibilities

• Manage product lifecycle and develop local medical strategies in compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Lead medical training and education initiatives for internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Maintain consistent scientific messaging across all tools and materials.
• Identify evidence gaps in hematology and drive local evidence‑generation projects.
• Collaborate on international strategies and tactics with cross‑functional partners.
• Engage with key opinion leaders, KOLs, and study groups for strategic discussions and protocol development.
• Partner with the Business Unit Manager to execute the product lifecycle plan.
• Oversee in‑sourced and outsourced medical programs, advisory board meetings, investigator meetings, and expert panels.
• Provide medical expertise for pipeline products and health‑economics/reimbursement requests.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a health‑related discipline (MD, PharmD, RN, BSc, MSc, or equivalent).
• At least 3 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Scientific Affairs, Clinical Development, or a related function within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of hematology and medical affairs processes.
• Experience interacting with KOLs and managing scientific advisory activities.
• Ability to develop and execute medical strategies and evidence‑generation plans.
