Mining Advisor (Executive / Strategy / Tailings) - South America

About the role

Gatesource HR is recruiting a Mining Advisor focused on executive strategy and tailings retreatment, based in Medellin. The advisor gives high-level guidance to the board and executive leadership on mineral resource and tailings recovery opportunities, supporting the organisation's long-term growth and investment strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on resource development and tailings recovery opportunities across global mining markets.
• Support the technical, operational and financial evaluation of potential projects and investments.
• Contribute to investment strategies, partnerships and strategic alliances.
• Offer board-level guidance and governance support on key technical and commercial decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with mining companies, investors and industry stakeholders.
• Share market insights on industry trends, technologies and emerging opportunities.

Required profile

• Senior mining executive, technical specialist or mining investor with extensive industry experience.
• 20+ years of experience in mining, resource development or mining investment.
• Experience with gold processing, tailings retreatment or resource development projects is highly desirable.
• Strong global network of operators, investors and technical experts.
• Proven ability to advise at executive or board level.
