Onboarding Coordinator (Medellín)

About the role

We are looking for an Onboarding Coordinator to support the onboarding of project‑based hires for TransPerfect across the United States and Canada. Based in Medellín, you will act as the main point of contact between new hires, recruiters, HR, and payroll to ensure a smooth and compliant onboarding experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of onboarding for project‑based employees, ensuring all steps are completed on time for payroll.
• Set up hire profiles in the HRIS system and request/verify required documentation.
• Coordinate with hires and managers on project start‑up preparations.
• Respond to employee queries regarding onboarding, timecards, policies, and paid sick leave.
• Process regular off‑boarding, unemployment claims, and employee verification requests.
• Prepare and assist with payroll‑related reports such as new‑hire, termination, and hours reports.
• Handle a large volume of email, phone, and messaging inquiries while providing general HR administrative support.
• Direct employees and managers to appropriate HR personnel for specific issues and support special projects as needed.

Required profile

• Administrative experience, preferably in an HR or recruitment function.
• High accuracy, ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong independent work ethic combined with the ability to collaborate globally.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English.
• Flexibility to adapt in a fast‑paced, changing environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with HRIS tools.
