Payroll Accounting Assistant (Payroll Reconciliation)

About the role

Support the consolidation, registration and verification of payroll accounting data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for reconciliation, reporting and accrual activities. The role works in a hybrid setting for Amrize, a construction solutions company operating across North America.

Key responsibilities

• Execute payroll month‑end closing by recording journal entries, reclassifications and adjustments.
• Identify and preliminarily verify accounting discrepancies in payroll accounts and report them to the responsible analyst.
• Perform operational clearing of open and overdue items, requesting supporting documentation and following up for proper reconciliation.
• Assist continuous‑improvement initiatives and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Technologist degree or senior university student in Accounting or related fields.
• Less than 1 year total experience, with at least 6 months in accounting reconciliation (preferably payroll).
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, strong organization and problem‑solving abilities.
• English level B1.

Required skills

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint).
• Basic Excel skills.
• Familiarity with G Suite (desirable).
