Product Leader Casualty – Facultative Desk

About the role

AIG is seeking a Product Leader Casualty for its Facultative Desk in Latin America. The role drives the design and execution of the business plan to develop a diversified facultative reinsurance portfolio for casualty products across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement business strategies to build a profitable casualty portfolio, including General Liability, Construction Liability, Environmental Liability, Energy Liability, and Product Recall.
• Manage distribution with wholesale and facultative reinsurance brokers, develop new products, and monitor key performance indicators.
• Lead the regional leadership team, ensure governance, compliance, and professional development of the casualty team.
• Collaborate with claims, finance, operational and actuarial teams to support underwriting decisions and workflow implementation.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of facultative reinsurance underwriting, leadership and portfolio management experience in casualty across Latin America and the Caribbean.
• Strong relationships with major reinsurance intermediaries and deep knowledge of LAC casualty lines, product features, policy forms and regulatory environments.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
