QA Engineer - Channel Management & Distribution

About the role

Amadeus' Hospitality Solutions division, within its Channel Management & Distribution (CMD) area, connects hotel systems with distribution partners so that availability, rates, inventory, reservations and content flow reliably across global channels. As a QA Engineer on the Americas Quality team, you investigate, reproduce and resolve CMD and CDE defects reported by customers and internal stakeholders, working with Product, Development and Global QA teams. The role supports the Americas time zone.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, triage and reproduce CMD/CDE defects reported by customers, delivery or support teams, and validate fix proposals and retests.
• Perform functional and technical investigation using API calls, logs, monitoring tools and system traces, prioritizing issues affecting North and South America.
• Run manual and automated tests across API, UI and backend services, maintain and improve test suites, and contribute to Non-Regression Tests (NRTs).
• Work with developers to reproduce issues, validate patches and reduce defect escape rates.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, QAEs and functional experts, and take part in quality community initiatives.
• Identify process, tooling or coverage gaps and document test cases and troubleshooting steps in Confluence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
• Experience validating defects or supporting customer-reported issues is strongly preferred.
• Experience in travel, hospitality or complex transactional systems is a plus.

Required skills

• API testing (REST) with Postman or equivalent.
• Log analysis and JSON/XML payloads; basic SQL.
• Test frameworks (Robot Framework, Python, Java) and tools such as Jenkins, Git, Splunk are assets.
• Knowledge of hotel distribution concepts such as ARI (availability, rates, inventory), shopping flows, reservations and channel configuration.
