QA Engineer

About the role

Amadeus is hiring a QA Engineer in Bogota to join its travel technology team and help shape the future of airport technology. You will collaborate on solutions that streamline travel operations and improve passenger journeys. All CVs must be submitted in English.

Key responsibilities

• Develop test strategies and plans, with traceability to requirements and compliance with CI/CD, Green IT and industry standards such as ISTQB.
• Design, prepare and run functional and non-functional test cases, and keep regression suites up to date.
• Automate tests when needed and help improve the automation framework.
• Manage defects: log issues, assess severity, support resolutions and verify fixes before release.
• Report testing progress to stakeholders and share milestones.
• Take part in specification and architecture reviews, giving feedback on risks and gaps.
• Mentor newcomers, support QA peers and share knowledge.
• Use and suggest improvements to QA tools, and help measure and reduce the environmental impact of QA activities.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a similar field.
• 2 to 5+ years of experience in full-stack development and testing, with a preference for automation testing experience.
• Strong oral, written and analytical problem-solving skills.
• English proficiency is required.

Required skills

• Advantageous: familiarity with Git, Jira, Scrum and Agile.
• Plus: Jenkins, Octane, Confluence, Selenium, Couchbase, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and experience in the airline/airport travel industry.
