React Tech Lead

About the role

As a Frontend Tech Lead, you will drive the design, architecture and delivery of scalable, high-performance web applications for mission-critical systems. You will provide technical leadership to frontend teams, define best practices, mentor engineers and work closely with product, architecture and engineering stakeholders. The role combines hands-on development with technical strategy, ownership and team enablement.

Required profile

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Advanced English level (required).
• Hybrid modality in Bogotá (required).
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience leading frontend teams, technical initiatives and architectural decisions.

Required skills

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with React.js and modern frontend architectures.
• Strong experience designing and implementing microfrontend architectures at enterprise scale.
• Deep understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 and modern frontend frameworks and tooling.
• Experience defining frontend standards, code quality practices and development workflows.
• Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and their integration patterns.
• Expertise with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Advanced Security and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Experience creating, maintaining or deeply integrating SDKs, especially in React-based ecosystems.
• Driving engineering best practices, code reviews, technical mentoring and cross-functional collaboration.
• Understanding of application performance, scalability, security and observability.

Nice to have: fintech, banking or highly regulated industry experience; platform engineering and developer experience experience; frontend testing and automation frameworks; leading distributed or international engineering teams.
