Semi-Senior Intercompany Accountant

About the role

The Intercompany Accountant manages and reconciles all intercompany transactions between entities of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards and timely resolution of discrepancies. The role supports month-end and year-end close and audit requirements, working closely with local finance teams, shared services and corporate accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Process and reconcile intercompany transactions, invoices and balances across all entities
• Monitor intercompany accounts for accuracy and compliance with accounting policies (GAAP/IFRS)
• Resolve discrepancies and mismatches with regional and local finance teams
• Prepare intercompany reconciliations, journals and reports for month-end and year-end close
• Ensure intercompany charges such as management fees, cross-charges and cost allocations are processed on time and accurately
• Assist in audit schedules and provide documentation for internal and external auditors
• Maintain intercompany agreements and comply with transfer pricing policies and tax regulations
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities, and generate periodic reports on balances, settlements and outstanding items

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting, intercompany processes or financial reconciliation
• Detail-oriented, organized and able to work under tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; English at intermediate/advanced level

Required skills

• Solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS
• ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle or NetSuite
• Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations)
