Senior Accountant – Lease Accounting & Controllership

About the role

The Americas GBS Controllership Senior Accountant supports the Controllership function by executing accounting, financial reporting, and control activities, with a focus on lease accounting under ASC 842 and IFRS 16.

Key responsibilities

• Support lease accounting activities, including data analysis, journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end close.
• Maintain general ledger accounts, prepare standard and adjusting journal entries, and perform account reconciliations.
• Execute SOX control requirements and compliance reporting.
• Drive process improvements, technology implementations, and automation for the RTR process.
• Complete ad‑hoc projects, reports, and resolve management queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Attention to detail and problem‑solving capability.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 842, and IFRS 16 lease accounting.
• Experience with ERP Finance and Controlling modules and general ledger management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with lease accounting platforms such as Leasequery‑Leasecontroller (a plus).
