Senior Accountant – Professional Services

About the role

Wood is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Professional Services team in Bogotá, supporting U.S. and Canadian businesses. The role offers ownership of key financial activities within an international, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own accounting for assigned projects, contracts and service lines, including revenue recognition, cost accruals, provisions and estimates.
• Lead month‑end close, prepare balance‑sheet and sub‑ledger reconciliations, and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Analyze results, prepare budgets and forecasts, and support cash‑flow and working‑capital management.
• Partner with Project Controls, Commercial and operational teams to determine appropriate accounting treatment.
• Support internal and external audits, statutory reporting and compliance activities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated accounting experience with month‑end close, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to investigate and resolve accounting issues independently.
• Experience supporting audits and statutory reporting; CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• Business‑level English to support U.S. and Canadian operations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of accounting principles, accruals, provisions and financial reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Experience with financial systems, specifically Oracle ERP.
