Senior Data Scientist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to develop and optimise machine‑learning and LLM‑powered solutions for similarity‑based retrieval and semantic ranking, combining structured and unstructured automotive data. The position is a 4‑month temporary contract, with the possibility of extension, and can be performed remotely from Colombia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy production‑grade machine learning models.
• Build similarity‑based retrieval, matching, or recommendation solutions.
• Design and refine LLM prompts for semantic ranking and classification.
• Engineer and select features from both structured and unstructured data sources.
• Construct data pipelines that integrate multiple data sources.
• Work with Python, pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn and Google Cloud Platform.
• Define evaluation frameworks and monitor accuracy, acceptance rate and coverage.
• Collaborate daily with US‑based technical and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• 6+ years of hands‑on data science experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or a related quantitative field.
