Senior Internal Controls Leader for WACAM Region

About the role

Join Mondelēz International as a senior leader responsible for overseeing internal controls across multiple countries and processes in the WACAM region. You will partner with senior management to design, implement, and monitor control frameworks, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Internal Controls team, providing strategic partnership to senior leadership to optimize control design, training, continuous monitoring (CCM) and compliance frameworks (SOX, CSA).
• Conduct risk‑based control reviews, advise on identified risk areas, and support SOX testing cycles and the Control Self‑Assessment (CSA) exercise.
• Drive harmonisation, efficiency and continuous improvement across internal‑control processes, embedding a mindset of operational excellence.
• Build and develop a high‑performing team through coaching, structured training and professional development initiatives.

Required profile

• 10+ years of hands‑on experience in internal controls within manufacturing, consumer goods or retail environments.
• Significant external or internal audit experience in a Big Four firm or a large global corporation.
• Strong business acumen across finance, supply chain, sourcing, marketing and information systems.
• Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to partner across a global, public‑company setting.
