Senior Project Manager

About the role

GM Financial is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high‑priority, enterprise‑wide initiatives using its Global Project Portfolio Management (GPPM) framework. The role involves overseeing multiple sub‑projects, coordinating with C‑level sponsors, and driving Agile‑at‑scale delivery across functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage large, strategic projects, supervising multiple project managers and ensuring alignment with GPPM standards.
• Lead Agile development practices, fostering incremental delivery, risk mitigation, and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Maintain project governance, including RAID logs, stakeholder communication, and change management.
• Develop project requirements, scope, metrics, and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of proven project implementation experience, preferably in finance or related sectors.
• Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources while driving accountability.

Required skills

• Agile/Scrum and Waterfall project methodologies.
• Planview Workfront (or similar PPM) tools.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Basic accounting principles for budget oversight.
