Senior Software Engineer - eDiscovery .NET

About the role

Softgic is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Medellin to design, build and maintain core eDiscovery software using .NET/C# and PostgreSQL, with AI tooling as a standard part of the development workflow. This is a hands-on senior role where you own features from design through production, write automated tests, investigate and resolve production issues, and trace problems across the stack.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain core eDiscovery software with .NET/C# and PostgreSQL.
• Write automated tests and debug and resolve production issues.
• Use AI development tools daily for code generation, review, testing and debugging, staying accountable for the quality of shipped code.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with .NET/C#.
• Experience owning and supporting production systems, including debugging and resolving live incidents.
• Daily experience using AI development tools for coding, debugging, testing and code review, and the ability to independently verify AI-generated code.
• Experience designing and building scalable software solutions.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills for distributed teams, and strong teamwork, accountability and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• .NET/C# and strong PostgreSQL experience, including schema design and query performance.
• Azure cloud environment.
• Strong experience with automated testing.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and taking features from design through production.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
