Senior Staff Accountant – Family Office (Hybrid)

About the role

Shareholder Services is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support its multi‑entity family office operations. The role is hybrid, based in Medellín/Bogotá, and follows a US calendar, offering the chance to work with high‑volume accounting processes across US‑based entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and general‑ledger transactions.
• Own account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close for assigned entities.
• Manage AP/AR transactions, cash reconciliations, and payroll validation.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Leverage AI‑enabled tools to improve speed and accuracy in accounting processes.
• Partner cross‑functionally with Finance, Payroll, and Operations teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with general‑ledger and reconciliations.
• Experience in multi‑entity or high‑volume environments (preferred).
• Prior experience with US‑based or multinational companies.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of NetSuite and/or QuickBooks.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of GAAP.
