Senior Staff Accountant - Family Office

About the role

Shareholder Services is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to work on site in Medellín, ensuring accuracy and integrity across its U.S.-based entities while supporting a fast-paced, multi-entity family office.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals and general ledger transactions
• Own account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close for assigned entities
• Manage AP/AR transactions, cash reconciliations and payroll validation
• Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve speed and accuracy in accounting processes
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Payroll and Operations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with general ledger and reconciliations
• Experience in multi-entity or high-volume environments (preferred)
• Prior experience with U.S.-based or multinational companies
• Advanced English proficiency, written and verbal

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of NetSuite and/or QuickBooks
• Advanced Excel and solid GAAP knowledge
