Sensory and Consumer Researcher

About the role

Join IFF’s insight‑driven team in Bogotá to design and execute sensory, consumer, and cognitive research that fuels flavor innovation and business growth. You will translate research findings into actionable insights that shape product development and market success.

Key responsibilities

• Design and run sensory, consumer, and cognitive research projects aligned with business objectives.
• Select and apply appropriate methodologies, ensuring data quality through validation, cleaning, and protocol adherence.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to generate actionable insights and business recommendations.
• Partner with Innovation, Creativity & Design, commercial, and cross‑functional teams to support product development.
• Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Maintain research databases, documentation, and coordinate sensory panels and external partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Consumer Science, Psychology, Market Research, Statistics, Marketing or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in sensory and consumer research, preferably in food and beverage.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and collaborate across functions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience with research and statistical tools such as EyeQuestion, XLSTAT, or similar platforms.
