Software Development Engineer (All Levels)

About the role

Amadeus is hiring Software Development Engineers in Bogota, Colombia, in its travel technology business. Engineers work with designers, product managers and other engineers to build solutions that improve the customer journey, contributing to scalable platforms, integrated systems and seamless experiences for travelers worldwide. The role covers front-end, back-end and full-stack development.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze requirements for new or upgraded software.
• Contribute to software design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
• Resolve software issues and coordinate system installations.
• Run tests to meet quality standards and write code with robust test coverage.
• Follow standard programming practices and take part in validation phases.
• Support customers by fixing solutions as needed.
• Produce and distribute software documentation.
• Work independently within established guidelines and help solve complex problems.

Required profile

• Experience in one or more of the listed technologies, databases, cloud platforms or practices.
• Achieves objectives independently, learns quickly and is reliable.
• Collaborates well with multicultural teams and adapts easily to changing circumstances.

Required skills

• Languages: C++, Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, OOP
• Databases: Oracle, SQL
• Frameworks and cloud: Spring Boot, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Microsoft Azure
• Practices: SAFe, CI/CD, DevOps, FinOps, automated testing
• Additional: REST APIs, TCP/IP, distributed systems, Git, Jenkins, Agile development
