About the role
Join ScotiaTech, Scotiabank's technology hub in Bogota, as a Software Engineer Associate. You will contribute to Global Human Resources Technology initiatives, developing and modernising Java‑based applications in a fast‑paced, inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, unit‑test and migrate applications using Java, cloud services and web‑service standards.
- Apply best design practices, participate in peer reviews and ensure high‑quality code delivery.
- Analyse and resolve technical defects, provide third‑level support and improve application processes.
- Collaborate on continuous integration, data migration and cloud‑hosted environments (GCP, Azure, Atlas).
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (preferred).
- 2+ years of software development experience with strong object‑oriented design skills.
- Proficiency in Java technologies, cloud platforms and Microsoft SQL Server.
