Squad Lead - Network & Infrastructure

About the role

Kyndryl runs and reimagines the mission-critical technology systems that power leading businesses. As part of its Delivery area, the Squad Lead leads the implementation, administration and support of client operations, takes part in pre-sales, solution design and architecture definition, and acts as a cross-functional L3 technical reference. The role leads a squad of network and infrastructure engineers, handling complex escalations and supporting transformation initiatives and day-to-day service across multiple customers.

Key responsibilities

• Pre-sales and architecture: analyse opportunities, size infrastructure and talent needs, evaluate proposals and define reference architectures for data centre integration and migration.
• Incident and problem management: resolve complex and recurring incidents, escalate to and validate vendor solutions, and keep the known-error database up to date.
• Change and configuration management: assess change risks, plan and monitor production changes, and keep the CMDB and CI backups current.
• Knowledge management: create and maintain resolution articles, and build and automate processes and scripts.
• Capacity and event management: review infrastructure demand, configure monitoring and correlate events and alerts.
• Operations reporting: prepare and review monthly performance reports and ensure SLAs are met.
• Leadership: mentor the squad, run Agile ceremonies, manage the backlog, engage with enterprise customers and own the Networking and Data Centre service domain end to end.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in networking and infrastructure, including leading critical projects, data centre integrations and complex migrations, and handling L3 escalations.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) required.
• Preferred: Cisco ACI Specialist or CCIE, ITIL certification, Agile or project management certifications (PMP, CSM, Six Sigma).

Required skills

• Strong networking expertise: Cisco routing and switching and SD-WAN.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI (multi-site, multi-pod, IPN) and application delivery controllers (F5 BIG-IP, Citrix NetScaler).
• Working knowledge of security (firewalls, segmentation, secure access).
• ITSM/ITIL processes (incident, problem, change, configuration, knowledge, capacity and event management).
• Monitoring tools and automation or scripting.
