Sr. Video Editor & Motion Designer – AI Workflows (Remote, LATAM)

About the role

Rankings.io, a legal marketing agency for elite law firms, is looking for a remote independent contractor video editor and motion designer to work closely with its US-based team. The role creates video and motion content for Rankings.io, PIM, PIMCON and other brands, covering short-form, podcasts, campaigns, events and brand storytelling. Strong English and availability during US Central or Eastern Time hours are required.

Key responsibilities

• Edit video for social media, podcasts, paid campaigns, service launches, events and brand storytelling.
• Create motion graphics, animated typography and visual sequences.
• Use AI to generate and refine imagery, footage, backgrounds and other creative assets.
• Combine original footage, AI-generated visuals, sound and motion design into finished work.
• Turn long recordings, interviews, podcasts and webinars into short-form content with strong hooks and pacing.
• Build repeatable workflows that increase production capacity while keeping quality and brand consistency.
• Collaborate with creative, content and marketing teams to turn briefs into effective video.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional experience in video editing, motion graphics or visual design, with AI as a core part of the workflow.
• Strong command of composition, typography, pacing, color, animation and sound.
• Meaningful hands-on experience with AI throughout production, beyond basic prompting or automated captions.
• Ability to refine generated content, resolve visual inconsistencies and make intentional creative decisions.
• Strong organization, communication and ability to work independently; portfolio of 3-5 work examples required.

Required skills

• Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Photoshop or Illustrator
• Hands-on experience with ComfyUI or comparable visual generation workflows
• Experience using Claude or similar tools for concept development, scripting, workflow support or automation

What we offer

• Monthly retainer of $2,500 - $3,500 USD, invoiced by the contractor.
• Fully remote, long-term engagement opportunity.

The engagement is as an independent contractor; contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance and compliance, and must reside in an eligible country. Contractors accessing Rankings.io systems and client data must install endpoint security software (Huntress) per the Contractor Services Agreement. The interview process includes a human resume review, a one-way video interview and a live Zoom interview with Talent Acquisition and the Hiring Manager.
