Staff Counsel - Contracts and Legal Support

About the role

This position is for a Staff Counsel who supports the company's business areas on contractual matters across the region. The role covers negotiating, drafting and reviewing civil, commercial and mercantile contracts with local and international counterparts, ensuring compliance with local legal regulations and coordinating with external law firms.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate, draft and review civil, commercial and mercantile contracts with local and international counterparts.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legal regulations in each country of the region.
• Provide legal support to various business areas on contractual matters.
• Coordinate with external law firms to manage legal matters in other countries.
• Mitigate contractual risks through internal legal models, policies and processes.
• Participate in strategic decisions, taking into account both legal and commercial perspectives.

Required profile

• Law degree with a valid professional license.
• At least 4 years of proven experience in roles focused on commercial contracting.
• Experience in legal management with a LATAM focus in multinational environments.
• Advanced English (B2+) with fluent oral and written communication.
• Strong negotiation skills, effective communication and ability to work cross-functionally.
