Strategy & Operations Manager – Global Licensing

About the role

ARQ is a fast‑growing fintech looking for a Strategy & Operations Manager to own the global licensing workstream. You will ensure the company secures and maintains the regulatory permissions needed to operate across banking, wealth, payments and crypto in multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the global licensing pipeline and maintain a single source of truth for all active and upcoming license expansions.
• Track milestones, deadlines and dependencies, surfacing risks early and driving resolution across product, legal, finance and operations teams.
• Coordinate with external counsel and local advisors, managing deliverable quality, timelines and costs.
• Translate regulatory requirements into actionable workstreams for cross‑functional teams and ensure follow‑through.
• Draft and structure submissions, policy documents, regulatory responses and internal materials with precision.
• Build and continuously improve internal systems, templates and playbooks for managing licensing processes at scale.
• Monitor regulatory developments, evaluate new license requirements and support maintenance and renewal of existing licenses.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in a high‑performance environment such as MBB consulting or a leadership role at a high‑growth startup.
• Exceptional structured problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication for senior audiences.
• Proven project‑management and organisational skills handling multiple high‑stakes workstreams.
• Strong learning velocity and intellectual curiosity across legal, regulatory, financial and technical domains.
• High ownership mentality with a bias for action.
• Comfort operating in fast‑moving, early‑stage environments with limited structure.
