Telecommunication Service Support Engineer

About the role

An important multinational company in the telecommunications sector is looking for a Service Support Engineer to join its team in Bogotá. The role involves providing technical support to telecommunications operators and communication equipment vendors, both remotely and on site, for the commissioning, maintenance and operation of broadband networks.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Experience providing technical support to telecommunications operators and communication equipment vendors.
• Experience giving remote and on-site support for broadband network commissioning, maintenance and operation.
• Strong analytical skills, customer-oriented mindset, effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Advanced English proficiency, able to explain technical information and prepare reports.
• Immediate availability preferred; willingness to travel when required.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP networking, router and switch configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with GPON technologies (OLT and ONT).

What we offer

• Salary of COP 4,000,000 to 5,000,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Permanent employment contract.
