Blue Tees Golf
Job description
About the role
Blue Tees Golf, a consumer electronic golf technology company, is looking for a UX/UI Designer with connected-hardware experience. You will own assigned design workstreams, from information architecture and user flows through high-fidelity UI, interactive prototyping, engineering handoff and implementation review. The role is a hands-on individual contributor position working with UX, Product, Engineering, QA and external partners.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver UX/UI deliverables for launch monitors, connected mobile apps and simulation experiences, clarifying requirements and surfacing risks early.
- Create information architecture, user journeys, flows, wireframes and interaction models that connect hardware and software, covering edge cases and error paths.
- Build high-fidelity screens, visual assets and rapid interactive prototypes, and use design-system components and AI-assisted tools.
- Work with Product Managers, software and hardware engineers, QA and a China-based supplier to balance usability, feasibility and launch priorities.
- Take part in usability testing, synthesize findings and incorporate user feedback and analytics into design decisions.
- Review builds against design specs, log UX/UI issues in the agreed tracking tool and keep Figma files and documentation organized for teams across time zones.
Required profile
- 3-5+ years of professional UX/UI or product design experience, including connected-hardware work; mid or senior level.
- Portfolio showing UX process, product thinking, strong UI craft and shipped connected-product work.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a UX lead and cross-functional partners.
- Strong written, verbal and visual communication in English, including asynchronous updates.
- Availability for at least two hours of overlap with headquarters (9 a.m.-5 p.m. Pacific Time) and with a China-based supplier.
- Willingness to learn golf fundamentals and launch monitor functionality; prior golf knowledge not required.
Required skills
- Figma and FigJam, including component libraries, high-fidelity UI, prototyping and developer handoff.
- Design systems, accessibility and inclusive design.
- Usability testing and synthesis of research findings.
- Preferred: Unity-based interfaces, golf or sports-tech products, device onboarding and data-experience design, AI-assisted design, and tools such as Linear, Jira or Confluence.
