Water Resources Engineer (Bilingual, English C1) - On-site Bogotá

About the role

Executel is looking for a bilingual Water Resources Engineer (English C1) with strong technical expertise in hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling, engineering design and project planning. The role supports civil and environmental engineering initiatives on stormwater, wastewater and flood risk, and is an on-site position in Bogotá.

Key responsibilities

• Process and analyse survey data, perform hydraulic calculations and contribute to technical design.
• Develop and review engineering plans, specifications, quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Support H&H modelling with tools such as ArcGIS, HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS.
• Assist in water resources and wastewater system planning, landscape architecture and irrigation system design.
• Contribute to flood risk analysis and mitigation planning, and carry out H&H calculations and modelling with ArcGIS, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS and USEPA SWMM.
• Take part in field assessments and prepare technical documentation.
• Monitor task execution against quality, timeline and budget, communicate with clients and stakeholders, and track project scope.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• 2-3 years of professional experience.
• Knowledge of water resources planning, flood mitigation and wastewater design.
• Strong technical writing and reporting skills.

Required skills

• 2-3 years of experience with H&H modelling tools (AutoCAD, ArcGIS, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, QGIS, SWMM).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
