Associate Project Manager – Language Services

About the role

ICON is seeking an Associate Project Manager to coordinate translation projects for its Language Services division. This remote position supports in‑house client managers and freelance linguists, ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage small to mid‑sized translation projects end‑to‑end, aligning with client expectations.
• Act as primary contact for assigned clients, gathering requirements and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Define tasks, monitor progress, track milestones, and proactively manage risks.
• Coordinate with internal teams for seamless execution and communication.
• Support quality control activities, including investigations using 5 Whys or RCA and implementation of corrective actions.
• Assist in evaluating automation and technology solutions to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of project management experience in translation, localization, or language services.
• Experience with life‑sciences translation projects is a plus.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAT tools and translation management systems.
• Experience using project tracking software.
• Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Familiarity with document formats such as PDF, XML, and PowerPoint.
