Data Engineer Associate – International Banking Analytics

About the role

ScotiaTech, the technology hub of Scotiabank in Bogota, is looking for a Data Engineer Associate to support International Banking Analytics. You will design and maintain data pipelines and databases that feed business intelligence and advanced analytics across the bank’s global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and operate scalable data integration solutions for on‑premise and cloud environments, primarily using GCP services.
• Collaborate with the International Banking data engineering community to onboard new users and support data asset implementation.
• Work within an agile team to enforce consistent development practices, automation, and reliable data platform operations.
• Partner with BI teams to build data pipelines feeding Power BI dashboards and support analytics use cases.

Required profile

• Junior‑level experience as a Data Engineer or Technical Business Analyst.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of risk, compliance and operational controls in a banking environment.
