Financial Controller – Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, strategic Financial Controller to act as a senior finance advisor for two independent manufacturing entities under common management. Reporting directly to leadership, you will provide financial governance, strategic guidance, and actionable insights without managing day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain separate annual cash plans and rolling 13‑week cash forecasts for each entity, linking them to capacity and backlog.
• Evaluate capital purchases, calculate ROI, payback periods, and recommend financing options.
• Advise leadership on growth strategies, risk, debt structures, and banking relationships; model pricing and margins by work type.
• Ensure complete financial separation between entities, document intercompany transactions, and develop governance procedures.
• Set internal controls, financial policies, month‑end close standards, and best practices within the ERP system.
• Monitor receivables, payables, and working‑capital performance to identify the most profitable work types, customers, and job estimates.

Required profile

• CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional accounting credential.
• 10+ years progressive finance experience, including 5+ years as a Controller or CFO.
• Proven experience managing finances across multiple related entities with intercompany governance.
• Industry expertise in manufacturing, job‑shop, or project‑based operations (job costing, WIP, inventory accounting).
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and US small‑business tax considerations.

Required skills

• Advanced financial modeling in Microsoft Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with Acumatica ERP or similar manufacturing ERP platforms.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP.
