Head of Collections – Medellín, Colombia

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Collections to establish and lead the collections function for our fintech operations in Medellín, Colombia. This senior position reports directly to senior management and works on a night‑shift schedule to oversee the overdue portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a new Collections team in Colombia.
• Define and execute the collections strategy, including KPI design and performance tracking.
• Monitor the overdue portfolio, optimise recovery rates and manage roll‑rate and DPD metrics.
• Collaborate with IT to implement automation tools and reporting solutions.
• Manage external vendors and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in consumer lending or PDL collections, with a strong track record in debt recovery.
• Demonstrated leadership of collections teams.
• Deep understanding of DPD, roll rates and recovery metrics.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on KPI‑driven results.
• Advanced English communication skills (spoken and written).
